6 day Cisco CCNP ROUTE + TSHOOT 642-902

Instructor Led Classroom based Course

"There are two types of CCNP Students those trained by Commsupport and those that are not. We don't churn out monkeys , we create heavy weight silverbacked networking Gorillas" Joe Spoto Senior Instructor

WARNING THIS ROUTE + TSHOOT COURSE IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED.

You must have a firm grasp of the CCNA level Routing and Switching topics, because it you don't you will need a new pair of trousers by the second day.

We have taken the CCNP Route, strapped a kilo of TNT to it and made it dangerous!!!

When you book onto the CCNP Route you will be given access to a series of CCNA/CCNP videos to get you up to speed.

We have done to the ROUTE + TSHOOT the same thing we have done to our CCNA, we have tinkered with it make it more relevant to the real world and made it more hardcore. If you really want to get stuck in and learn real network engineering you will not go wrong with this course.

We have taken the ROUTE Fault-Finding elements out of the TSHOOT course and integrated those topics into the curriculum of the ROUTE course, this way you learn the important elements of fault finding as you go through the ROUTE course without having to take time to sit on another course where there are huge amounts of overlap.

The lab equipment on your CCNP course is the best specced out CCNP lab in the world for the CCNP with 4 x 1841 or 4 x 2801 routers, no other training company in the entire world has CCNA labs like us.

While other companies spend your hard earned money on pointless brochures and other rubbish we invest in the classroom.

We might be a little mad but we get the job done.

So no tried old cheap 2500 or 2600 routers for our students like other companies will fob your off with that they found on ebay for £10, with slow processors and out of date operating systems.

Now even more reason for you to choose Commsupport.

6 days intensive hands-on Cisco CCNP ROUTE + TSHOOT training 9:00 am until 5:30 pm (although the finish time is set for 5:30pm, the classes do tend to continue until the topics have been covered the labs and break/fixing have been completed, this course is not rushed, we finish when we finish!)

Access to our Unique H.E.L.P e-learning platform where you will have the benefit of our very own custom made CCNP course videos,

Exclusive access to E-mail support before, during and after your course for up to a year.

Re-training for free, if you feel you need more time and instruction, you can come back onto the course for free (Subject to availability and conditions)

Each student has their own Cisco CCNP lab equipment in the classroom (no sharing with other students), We are the only training company in Europe to offer this!!

Learn real world scenarios in the labs, instructors will bring their real world experiences into the classroom so you learn, the "Why", "When", "What"

You learn from the most highly qualified network engineers in the industry, all instructors are minimum Cisco CCNP and have many years experience in the field of teaching, designing, installing and configuring voice networks.

Post E-mail support for a year after the course.

FREE RETRAIN OFFER Come back onto the CCNP course for free for as many times as you need to.

What is the purpsoe of the Not So Stubby Area and the Totally Not So Stubby Area

Understand the Role of ABR's and the role they play in OSPF

OSPF over Frame Relay using the network types of Non-Broadcast and Broadcast.

Explain the different characteristics of Non-Broadcast and Broadcast network types in OSPF and how to configure and verify them.

How to optimize your OSPF over Frame Relay using Broadcast and Non-Broadcast network types

Verify or troubleshoot multiarea OSPF routing configurations.

Implement Cisco IOS routing features

We really go to town on this topic, we wil show you in great detail how to deal with this seemly innocent process, in our lectures we build a monster 10 router network and watch the thing go nuts with routing loops and then we will fix it together.

Describe, configure or verify route redistribution

Understand and configure Route Tagging

Understand and Configure the many different ways in which you can seed the metric of redistributed routes

Understand and configure Distribute lists to prevent unwanted updates being sent out

Understand and configure Prefix lists to match routes to control the contents of your routing tables

Understand and configure Route Maps, these things can either be your best friends or worse enemy just like prefix lists

Understand and configure Passive interfaces and the role that they play in your network

Understand and Configure IP SLA and Policy based routing, these are great when they work and will save you and your network many hours of down time.

Implement BGP

Nothing gets in our way, not even BGP, we tame this beast over two days of hitting it with the commsupport stick, by the time we have done with this protocol it will be a pussy cat drinking milk and purring.

Configure/Explain BGP concepts listed below and use show/debug commands for verification

Learn how and when to use the BGP TTL Security command when establishing eBGP neighbours

We will show you how you can setup BGP Outbound Route Filtering between 2 BGP routers

Configure/Explain BGP and use show/debug commands for verification

The dreaded Rule of Synchronisation, the rule that must be broken, for BGP to operate you must understand this rule like your life depends on it. We have ways of making you understand!!

We will show you how to setup External BGP (EBGP) and have BGP devices exchange routes between Automomous systems

So many messages, what do they all mean, we go through all of the BGP messages and states one at a time, you need to know these stuff better than you know your own name

Understand how to setup Internal BGP (IBGP) neigbours either directly or indirectly connected, more than one way to do this and more than one way to get it wrong

BGP Authentication with MD5 could not be easier, or could it, beware of the beast!

Nothing in BGP is straight forward and even though BGP Route Reflector's are not part of the CCNP syllbus we will still cover them in the course and the practical, nothing is left to chance here

BGP AS_Path attribute and how they can be used to prefer routes by stacking those AS path numbers

Want to know how to steer packets out of the right exit in BGP then you need to understand the Local Preference attribute,. Build more effecient BGP networks

Understand and configure the BGP Default Route

How do you summarise in BGP?, well you use the BGP Route Aggregation feature, again another one of those topics that seems easy to undersand but when not implemented correctly your traffic won't go the right way

Those flapping routes getting you down?, then they must be punished learn how to with BGP Route Dampening

How far is the Earth from the Sun?, who cares!, but how far is the EBGP peer? now we are interested, so when do we use the EBGP Multihop command, and what is wrong with using 255

Peering BGP neighbors is one of the simplest but most common network faults in BGP we will show you how to prevent perring issues with the Update Source Loopback command

How do you decide which door to take out of a router Mr Packet, well let BGP Weight Attribute make that choice for you

Choices, choices choices, which Network looks the best to got through to get to my desired destination, in BGP we use the Multi-Exit Discriminator (MED) Attribute to draw trafic out of your network, understand how this important feature can affect your network

Route Reflectors not challenging enough then give BGP Confederations a shot, how you can make your life even harder than it has to be, because that's just the way we like it. We will show you how these Mini Autonomous systems can break you even further, no Mercy in this Dojo !

Bend over for the kick up the backside, nothing like getting to grips with IP Prefix-Lists for BGP to make sure you are awake in the morning, we supply the boot you supply the backside

Nice and easy, whats the problem here, well BGP Peer Groups were designed for lazy network admins, but you're not lazy are you but you never know, so know your Peer Groups

Implement IPv6

  • Full Description on it's way

  • Describe IPv6 addressing operations.

  • Describe IPv6 interoperation with IPv4.

  • Describe, configure or verify OSPF routing with IPv6 addressing.

  • We will tunnel like tunnel rats, we cover IPv6 GRE Tunnels, IPv6 Auto Tunnels, ISATAP tunnels, the lot

And above all you will get more hands on than you thought possible, lots of break / fix scenarios, once you have completed the labs exercises faults will be introduced into the lab for you to fix, we are the only training school to do this, why, because as engineers we will show you real-life faults that we see in the real world and then you have to fix them
